Tranquility re-visited

Spotted this spot while out shooting a wedding. Returned the following day and grabbed a few images...

Tranquility

I was on MacGrath's Mountain to shoot the Zipline and found this quiet little scene on my way back down. It was a litle tricky to get to while lugging camera gear and a tripod but obviously it was do-able.
It's still nice to find these beautiful scenes pristine... no gum wrappers or pop cans.

Blue Heron and the Moon

Starry July Night

Beach Patterns

Mucking about at Melmerby Beach with the family.
Decided to concentrate on whatever interesting patterns I could find.

June 1st Lightning

Pretty spectacular lightning show last night.
Couldn't abandon the family and go chasing after a better location so I shot it from the driveway.
I little un-nerving to be holding onto a metal tripod with this going on but it was an impressive sight.

Yellow and other colours

Glad I stumbled upon this little scene.
Great colours, great lines, one dead bug and dew drops. What more could you ask for?

And do you think our wet spring has maybe resulted in a few dandelions this year?

Beautiful deterioration.

obvious / hidden

The obvious beauty of a rolling green field and the hidden beauty waiting in the dark under a railway bridge. The brilliant green field is a view from Greenhill look-off, and the underside of the railway bridge is in downtown New Glasgow.

Pond Details

Two images of ponds and the plants that pierce the surface but not the calm.

Detail of bull-rushes in my backyard early last winter. The snow has folded them down and woven them into this pattern... amazing how nature could produce lines and angles so crisp and straight.
Full resolution file shows a great frost pattern covering the stalks.

Lots of details in this shot from Park Falls last winter. Icy and beautiful...the piece of wood and the rock with the golden accents just seem to be trying to hold on until spring.
